Oh, the whole family was there and then Jules and the girls went back to Florida and then I'm assuming they flew.

But before we get into all of that, the whole story. I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Ashley and Paul regarding Adam Curry: even allowed to mention that she was she did she post me. Did she post on Instagram? Are the big posts. Are they Instagram official? Tina Curry: Now? Yes, so an oil baron. We met Ashley and Paul about just a year ago, my birthday birthday and they become friends of ours and we just enjoy them so much. And so he pulled the classic they came to the vow renewal and they came to the wine event before the vow renewal and he pulled the classic when I asked her to marry me and I said oh Adam Curry: you've talked about that on the show. Oh, why don't you mind my will give a little recap. Because you it's never too soon in the show to start bashing Adam.

So I went and had my nails done at Christmas because I thought for sure this is like three going on three years into our religion. or rely on Mike. Oh, he's gonna ask me to marry him. And what when I had my nails? Why did you think that because my sister asked me what? What kind of ring? And you thought Adam Curry: that I had asked your sister to say I know you Unknown: did. She told me you did. Okay. I did. Tina Curry: This is years ago and so I got nails. For sure nails are pretty. And Christmas came and went and you were waiting Adam Curry: during Christmas, you thought that I would I would I would do that during Christmas. I Tina Curry: was prepared, but I wasn't disappointed. Because when we were living together and we are committed, but you you would go around and you would say to people when I asked her to marry me when I asked her to marry me and finally I came to you and I said look, I love you so much. I am committed to you.

And then what were you saying to him like, oh, and then Tina Curry: you propose to me. And I was blown away? Blown Away, which was perfect. Perfect. So anyway, we shared that story with Paul and Ashley, when we were at the winery, Adam Curry: particularly the stop saying that part.

That's nice, man. Because he texts a lot. Yeah. And, and then it was the next morning, I think or evening or whatever it was, and he Tina Curry: was gonna listen to no agenda. Adam Curry: He's like, Oh, I'm gonna I have I'm gonna be listening. No agenda here in Cabo. And the you told me five minutes later, like, Oh, they got engaged. And so I immediately texted him. I said, Dude, I Tina Curry: want to come in. Now I get a letter in. Adam Curry: I say, Dude, I forbid you from listening to the show. No way.

We have two weeks of content. But it was I flew to Chicago. I went out Adam Curry: and about yes, that kind of went a little differently. Because the work started the work. The work on the shower started. Oh, yes. Did we even talk about them the last year? I think so. I'm leaving. Right. And so they're Berber.

So I ended up flying out on that was the CrowdStrike. But southwest wasn't affected. But I don't know. Maybe it just had a domino because Adam Curry: because they run it on Windows 95. Yes. The whole the whole outfit on Windows 95. Computer. Yes. Yeah. So Tina Curry: anyway, I flew to Chicago and I was just sitting there waiting, started chatting with this woman. And of course we start talking about our faith. You know, and I love that in the waiting at the gate. We were talking about our faith and how she was she lost a lot of family members. And we were just talking about how important it was to have faith and that was really nice. It was really nice. And I had God's favor, all the way to Chicago except when I was crammed in the middle seat between I didn't have any armrests. Let's just say that just Adam Curry: learned, you had to see boarding see is for center.

10:05 Tina Curry: No, it's not. Not true. Adam Curry: One of one of my one of my buddies is flying for Southwest. Now he said because he heard us talking about he said, you know, if you want to board early, you just go up to the gate and you say I have a medical issue I need to board early. They're not allowed to ask you and that's how you do. I would never lie. That's why all those people are standing there. Those are all those are all the liars. Oh, yes. Not all not outliers. Not all of them, obviously. And then he said, C stands for center. Tina Curry: Oh, yeah, because that's using with left. But I had bought the early bird before they jacked it up to $100. So when I rebooked they didn't rebook that early bird checkout.

10:49 I can't do and so it wasn't carry over. Yeah, I found that out when I failed to check in. And I was in the C group, like at the end. And so I was worried that I wouldn't have any space for my bad days. Yeah. Do you? Did you just I, you know, so I was gonna check my bag I got I was gonna check it at the gate. And I'm like, you know, I'm just gonna try. And sure enough, my bag fit. And I was like in row 10. center seat. Granted, I had no armrest because the two people next to me, but they you know, they took my armrest. But yeah, so I had God's favor all the way. And then my sister picked me up and we went back to her house and I got to spend some time with my mom and just chatting with her. And my mom is going to be at four in September. So she's getting up there. And she had a stroke about five years ago. And she's, she can self care. And she's, you know, she's, for the most part pretty good. But she has sometimes hard memory with words like certain words like telling a story. But it was so interesting. So I was just talking to her about like, what she does, and you know what she likes to do? And she's like, you know, every night, I listen to Korean music.

11:58 Adam Curry: I go Korean music to watch because yeah, really? Tina Curry: I go, That's Korean muting. Tell me this is different. The show on my Oh, okay. So she up on her iPad. Was Adam Curry: it like k pop? Yes. No, yes. Your mom's listening to Kpop like Tina Curry: it was but it was more ballad type, but young people like k k pop band. And I was like, Wow, that's fascinating. I was just like, why Korean music because I just love the way it sounds. I'm like, Adam Curry: Okay, well, we should send her a CD. So. So then Tina Curry: then the next day at the graduation party with my mom, I'll get backed up. Then the night before, but we're sitting there at the table. And she goes, Do you see that thing on that roof over there? And I said, Yes. And she goes, that's a bug. It has arms and legs coming out of it. I go what she goes, Yeah, I go, Mom, that's a vent. Mistake. No, it's not.

12:57 It's a bug with arms and legs coming out. I go Mom, it's events. I take a picture a boom. And I'm like, Mom, it's event she was that black one over there. That's a bug. And so, Ellen Ellen, my daughter, Ellen was there and she said Ellen said she winked at her. But Tony, I said to Tony, oh, my mom brought that up to me. She was Tina, she brought the same thing up to us to like, I was like, okay, Pat. Okay. So anyway, so going back to Friday night, you know, talking to my mom and then Tony and Rob and I sat outside and she opened up a couple glasses of wine. And she didn't have Adam Curry: a drink on the show.

13:37 Tina Curry: I know I thought about that care about this. She She didn't have a corkscrew. So she used she took a drill. Adam Curry: Tony your system. This is your long screw, drilled it in and pulled it out right out. Very hillbilly. Tina Curry: Yeah, but we were talking, just talking about all sorts of stuff because I hadn't seen her since she was here may and so that was really that was nice. We were sitting outside. It was beautiful weather, beautiful weather in Indiana. And then the next day was the big graduation party for Joey my nephew. You turned 18. And Ellen and Jesse came. They drove down from Chicago and they ended up staying over so it was all of us. My sister Laura was there. She drove up from Kentucky. So it was nice. It was like Yeah, yeah. And Joey I think really was a party more for Tony than it was Joey. Joey Adam Curry: was around what you do. That's what you do. You're at the interesting Tina Curry: thing, and I referenced this. It's the new style. So all the kids, you know, they're these Linky boys, and they're all wearing black, you know, and they got this hair cut, where it's shaved on the side and it's heavy on the front. And so Jesse goes, Yeah, then here so it's like the Broccoli and if you look at it, it looks like broccoli. That's crazy. So anyway, it was pretty.

15:08 Adam Curry: It Wasn't there something with their gene pocket that is flapped down. Yeah, there's there's the amount of wear of this designer Tina Curry: jeans they have like, they have a label that comes out of the whole pocket and it's like a white piece of fabric and it's got the brand name on the brand. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Well, I Adam Curry: mean, it's not much worse than you know getting jeans with holes pre cut in them. Yeah, when you think about it. Yeah, it's the Tina Curry: style but with the broccoli here hairstyle. I've seen the broccoli here is never gonna you're never going to forget that now because it doesn't look like a piece of broccoli. Adam Curry: I've seen I've seen the hairstyle I saw he be there's a big thing called Tina Curry: the wolf now, like the wolf shag it's supposed to and Tony's boss who owns a salon. She's like, I don't even know what that means. She goes, have you ever looked like it looked at a wolf? Like the shag doesn't look like the wolf at all? Shag Adam Curry: haircut? Yes. Yeah. I mean, I've had my hair. I know. So I'm not one to condemn.

16:06 Tina Curry: But overall, it was really joyful to spend time around Ellen and Jesse and around my sister and even my brother in law, Rob, I mean, and Laura, it was really, and I kept saying that for the weekend, it was all be just be joyful, just be joyful. And I was very, I was very aware of how I've I am and how I've kind of calmed down. And, you know, there was just one incident where Laura and I started talking about politics. And she was the one that cut it off, which was which was smart because we think very differently about politics. But I felt like I was constantly being redirected by the Holy Spirit when when things were kind of coming through, you Adam Curry: know, and I, well, you approach everyone would love. And Tina Curry: I just wanted to be joyful. But it was really a weekend, there was a lot of discussions about forgiveness, like there are some, there are some lingering issues. And I said to both of my sisters about how they just really need to forgive and I'm not going to get into a lot of details like they really need to forgive because the bitterness that they're holding on to is hurting those. Yeah, it's changed around their heart. Yeah. And so, you know, I could see a lot of big hurts a lot of big hurts. And what that showed me though was how far along I have common forgiving people myself. So so it was it was really an interesting dynamic and I you know, I I tried to counsel them and whether they're gonna really listen to it or not, and put it into practice. You know, that's,

17:37 that's on them. But I at least planted the seed where you couldn't get them to go to church with you know, and Sunday morning. Yes, I couldn't get him to go to church with me and my even my mom, I couldn't get her and I went, I went and I liked it. Adam Curry: Which church did you go to? Tina Curry: It was called, actually, Teresa gave me the church. It was called Faith Church, and it was in dire Indiana. And I liked it. It was good. It was good. I like brick church way better. She Adam Curry: said it froze. But yeah, with three rows back. Yeah. You have hands in the air. Yeah, Tina Curry: I was probably the only one that had my hands. What songs did they play? They're like, Adam Curry: Who's that charismatic woman and let him know. I don't Tina Curry: know. They played firm foundation and the other three songs I didn't know. Yeah. And then they ended with a hymn which was really him and I can't remember the name. Oh, okay. So Adam Curry: they mess it up a bit. Nice. Yes. So yes, played a golden oldie. They played Tina Curry: a Golden Oldies. So it was a really, really nice trip. And then I We left early, early Monday morning to go back to the airport. And I'm telling you Indiana drivers, they're crazy. Really? Oh my gosh, they Adam Curry: are crazy. That's just your sister is that no one else?

18:42 Tina Curry: You know what? I'm just like, I'm holding on to the dashboard. I said, you're you're worried about me driving? No. Anyway, so it was fun. It was really so then I got home on Monday. Okay, so yes. Adam Curry: While you were gone? Yes. At least and I had a wonderful time. Yes. I know. We watched movies. We watched sunshine, which is a total science fiction horror disaster movie about the sun going out. Oh, follow it with a doubleheader. Tina Curry: It was it's a classic. Well, no, you started off with gourmet dining. Adam Curry: Don't worry. I'm getting tall but the movies were after the gourmet dining room. I just do my story how I want to do it. I'm a chronological personal. I'm just doing my story, man. Hey, man, go ahead. And then we watched Mad Max Furiosa which was fantastic. Never watch that. And we both were like this is such an awesome movie. Your mom would hate it. Yeah, mom would hate it. That was great. No, she wanted to go. She wanted in in house dining at Tina Curry: Whataburger. Oh, you actually went Thursday, I was still here and I was like, just go ahead and go I'm not gonna go.

19:49 Adam Curry: I know. I mean you want to chronological. Okay, so Well, we did go. And I have to say we had a wonderful time and she was asking me all kinds of questions about blockchain about money. You know how money works. And I was just I was like, wow, this is we're having a really nice conversation. We had a good good time. And then when she was here, no, I threw some steaks on the on the grill one night. And then did we go, I think we went to we went to fried homes the night after, we had a really good time. And of course, she was nervous because her surgery was coming up. And so you were coming home and you would ask me to take some hamburger beef out of the freezer, which I did. I went to I went to HEB and I got some salad stuff. And I got I got some cottage cheese and I got no, the only thing I didn't realize how silly am I is that we only had 1/3 or two thirds of an avocado left and you come home and you look in the fridge and and all that love from Indiana and all the all the tenderness and it all went out the window. And you're just like there's nothing to eat, but I got the book A typic the bird, the bird I Tina Curry: know but on a burger. It didn't involve me to stop everything and cook and Adam Curry: you didn't have to cook I said all heat up the

21:20 grill. It's what do you mean? I cook around here? Everything we do is on the grill. I am the chef. Tina Curry: It was my fault. And yes, it was my Adam Curry: this took a week for this to come. Tina Curry: I said it was on me I should have asked you to cook them for me and I didn't I asked you just to take out the it was already my ugly head I thought that maybe you would just take it upon yourself and and cook them and it's not on you that's on me because I didn't concede that. Okay, Adam Curry: so let me just get this right. So I understand. Yeah. Because in the future you would like me to cook the burgers so you can just heat them up. Yeah, Tina Curry: so I have something to eat when I got home. Okay. Adam Curry: I don't my bread. My male brain doesn't work. No.

And the reason I believe that this happened was the enemy no the enemy just Yes of course. Of course. But I what I ordered breakfast at the airport and it was so disgusting. I said to the I said to the the waitress. I said, I can't eat this. This is terrible. And so I hadn't eaten anything. And that was I had you I had asked you to take the the ground beef out. Because I thought well, I won't be so hungry by the time I get home. Well, I was starving. Yeah, that's so my fault. I do. Take my apologies. I'm glad we Adam Curry: were recording it because I can put this on my phone as a ringtone. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

I'm not even saying anything. I was like, Tina Curry: You're so calm. And you're looking at me like she is whacked out? Adam Curry: Oh, no, no, no. I said, first of all, I understand it. Yeah. And it's okay. Like, this type of a lot going on. There's a lot going on, at least in the operation. And you know, you're concerned about her and, you know, you have a husband who works for a living is so annoying. So, why can't you just do what I tell you and when i It's amazing. Do what I tell you? What do I tell you to do? Literally it doesn't matter what I'm gonna you just come in and say, hey, you know, we got to do Hey, you know what has to be done? Hey, no, we have to do this. We got a book that I Tina Curry: like, I know what your Sabbath. But can you do this?

24:41 Adam Curry: Literally? And I said it's okay. So it's all fine. You came home and I so you had to take at least two physical therapy. Yes. Which is understandable. And, of course that was the same day that the glass guys were coming. And you couldn't know that it was doesn't make any difference yesterday, and I have and yesterday I had this one important call that I've just been planning for over a week. It's 1130. I'm like, Okay, I'll figure it out, you know, so, and I didn't know if Phoebe was barking, it doesn't matter, figure it out. And then you came home and I had an I told you, but you didn't remember I said, you know, I got I gotta go play chess with Willie at two, I promise because I moved on because of this meeting. And you were like, I wanted to get my car inspected. I'm like, I'll do it is no problem I can do right after chess. And that, and that's, that's the odd thing about you is like, no, no, you know, you don't well, if you really want to, Tina Curry: like I said, Yeah, I did. No, I didn't. Yeah. Mercy if you really want to, it was no, it was like, yay. Okay.

Tina Curry: And this ties into my gotcha too, about the enemy. So we'll get to that a little bit later. But yes, so at least had her surgery the day after I got back from Indiana. And it went really, really well. We appreciate everybody's prayers.

26:33 Oh, yeah. Sadly, though, her nerve block did not work. Yes. She was in a man's pain for a couple days. But she is she is doing her exercises. She is just diligent and just, you know, Adam Curry: and she's happy and funny and entertaining. And the goal Tina Curry: is she wants her well, because she wants to she wants to Unknown: leave as soon as possible. Oh, wow. Tina Curry: But those first few days, I mean, I was just there for her. 100% Yeah, good. I was just helping her and getting her things. And now she's, she's mobile. But the big thing for me, she's like, Mom, we need to clean my incisions. I'm like, Oh, okay. I am not good with stuff like that at all. I do now, like, Adam Curry: if you want me to do I'd be happy to do it. But I'm sure Tina Curry: that was huge. For me. That was really, really huge. Wasn't was it gory? No, not at all. But I just don't like anything blood. And this is Adam Curry: what's so good. Because if you're, if you're wounded and your guts are hanging out, I'll push them back in zip you jack it up and take you off to the doctor. Yeah, I'm good at that. No, no bugs. open wounds. Good. Good. Good. I Tina Curry: can't wait. We have a pretty good combo. Remember when I cut almost cut my finger off? Without Mikado? Yeah, I'm looking at it. And I could feel myself going. Yeah, I felt myself going down. And Adam Curry: the sad thing is, you didn't even call me. I could have called me I would have been right. I would have been right over just Tina Curry: dating. I didn't I didn't know you well enough to Adam Curry: have you like, oh, no, this is the finger for the ring.

Yeah, but Tina Curry: no, that was when I wanted my friends at work to glue it. That's what I said. You dumped that in there. They dumped the antiseptic in there and it was like I needed to bite on some leather. And then I'm like, you put the glue in there and I tried to glue it. Unknown: That workout to go get stitches. Tina Curry: But anyway, she's making tremendous progress. She has some friends that are coming to visit her so and she'll be home in a month. She'll be home in a month and I know that she will do it. We're gonna miss her when she's gone. And Phoebe has grown to love her. So that's been really really good. Adam Curry: Well, yeah, because Phoebe has never gotten this many pets or attention. Oh my Tina Curry: gosh, she loves Phoebe. Yeah, Phoebe stank and bad. Knees are bad. She's yellow. She's not white.

You know how I used to battle those demons all the time. And I am not kidding you. As soon as it came up, I heard the Holy Spirit say turn your eyes, turn your eyes to Jesus. Turn your eyes to Jesus. And I shut it down like that. And that's my point is that when you get into those kind of that mind game, and you know it's in Pastor Jimmy has said a to like what you feed grows. And I just remembered that I had to think about Jesus and center my thoughts on him and it dissipated immediately. That was the first time I've ever really experienced it that fast. And so the the verse that

43:21 came up, because as I was thinking about it, because it was so profound, because the way that I looked at myself in the mirror, and I was just disgusted. And then it just the Holy Spirit has directed me. So anyway, it's James, that I can't even express how how I know how much it helped me and it's healing me. It's taking away the trauma and the hurt. So it's James, chapter one, verse 12. And it says, God blesses those who patiently endure the testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. It was like so perfect for me that that verse came along. And as you Adam Curry: remember, you read it on your phone when you were there that came later.

That's really what a what a weird thing to have to think about. I think that if I have a job like, like, if I'm going to do something, and I set myself to do it, I do it. I do it consistently. And I put I put the work into it all the time. Really job like a job that pays money, not some tasks you gave me.

Well, I Tina Curry: think the thing that I most admire about myself is usually when I am with friends, or family, or, you know, outside, you know, outside and I'm usually really joyful. I'm usually always happy.

Tina Curry: That really I mean, I'm able to I'm able to shift behaviors pretty I mean, very well, I would say for the most part, I like that I'm able to shift it. The thing that I got is a lot of characteristics that I do not admire. Probably I don't like how rattled I get when I lose things. Or when we're going to be late I don't I don't like that rattled. I don't like I don't like that. I don't like being like that because I get all spun up. But I don't like it. These Adam Curry: are the good parts of living with you. Is is exactly those things that make you so wonderful.
