Tina Curry: And she and her husband Charlie have been doing carnivore since January and Charlie's lost almost 50 pounds and she's lost 18 pounds. She's Charlie. Kind of worth it. And Tina Curry: it doesn't matter if you decline the photo now like No, it doesn't.

Adam Curry: The woman who was there the church is like, hi, everybody smiling. I think Tina Curry: a lot of people probably just come up handle their documents. Don't ever say anything. I always say how are you today? Yeah, I always just Adam Curry: I mean, the actual conveyor belt. Agent. They're usually like yelling at you take your stuff out since that you don't have to take your stuff out. Yeah. They don't have to Tina Curry: yell at us. Yeah, it was really good. So they're kind of happy.

8:49 Adam Curry: Perfect. Now we were supposed to travel with Pastor Jimmy and de manette. Yes, but they had a whole change of plans. And so they were actually flying in from Dallas. Right. And, and we met them right there in the airport Tina Curry: at baggage claim. They were right there baggage claim. We went and got our boat of a car. Adam Curry: Well, we had such favor because well, we prayed from travel. We traveled. We had massive trade. Yes. Thank you. And to Tina Curry: and there and home. Yes. And I Adam Curry: rented through American Express enterprise. Yeah, but it was through America. Yeah. Oh, I think yeah, I did through American Express. Okay, thanks. So I made the reservation. Oh, did you do it straight with enterprise? Yes, Tina Curry: I believe I did. Oh, I don't Well, well done. Yes.

And the first was going to be and we went up to a Jeep Wagoneer was nice, but something was broken. The seatbelt was broken. And then she came back with a brand new grand wagoneer the the the aircraft carrier of the American vehicle. It's as Tina Curry: big as an expert Is that as big as a suburban is Adam Curry: what a massive it's just this. This huge thing. I'm like, Pastor Jimmy didn't used to live in Nashville. He's like, Yeah, you're driving. I Tina Curry: know. You're driving to do all the driving. I know. I know. So Adam Curry: we went to the K love fan awards weekend. Yes.

10:22 Where do you want to start? Well, when Tina Curry: we first got there, we wouldn't had the Adam Curry: first we were in the by the biodome in the Gaylord Tina Curry: Hotel. Oh, Lord. Yes, it was weird. It's like Disney World. Adam Curry: It's a BioDome. Tina Curry: I mean, your Truman Show? All the plants are perfect. Is there? Yeah. And they grow and you're in a treatment controlled? Adam Curry: It's the biodome. It is totally it's like, it's weird. It is odd. And I kind of feel like we're not getting real oxygen. Like, there you go. Yeah. Under a glass. But everything was in the hotel basically, is that thing is like three conferences going at the same time? You don't even bump into the other people. It was amazing. Yes, Tina Curry: it? Yes, ma'am. Right. Hands under glass.

11:09 Adam Curry: Showtime show title scotch? Tina Curry: No. And so once we got there, I mean, check in was smooth. We got into you went and got all at night, got our rooms, and then we met you over at the Delta convention ballroom, and you were in line, and we waved to you. We're like, Hey, we're gonna go get a drink Adam Curry: in the line. And these women go, Hey, these two or these two hot ladies are trying to get your attention. I said, Oh, we did this wrong. Didn't we pass it? Jimmy? We did. We did the wrong thing here. We're in the line. Still, you guys check this in. But that I have to say, there were lots of lines at this event. But every line was moving. Yes.

11:51 Every line moves smooth. And there was no aggravation. No one cutting in line. No one doing anything. This is Oh my god. It's Christians, although we're also nice. So Tina Curry: when we when we met you up, met up with you at by the delta, while you're going to get our tickets and everything. And I said to the guy go, those are our husbands. Can we just kind of cut the line? And he goes, I wouldn't do that. I go with that starter, right? Yes, probably. Adam Curry: I agree. He's probably right about that. No, it was no line cutting. There's no line cutting in the kingdom. So Tina Curry: then after that, so and that night when we waited outside the steakhouse until they opened up for 13. We only wait maybe 20 minutes and we didn't have a reservation. So they said, you know, you can go and sit in the bar. And we snagged a table and it was it was lovely. A lovely dinner.

12:42 Adam Curry: It was beyond lovely. It was it was just perfect food. Perfect. We had some Prosecco or champagne was a Prosecco. Everyone partook That was beautiful. And I looked at the at the waiter, and I said to Jimmy, bass player. Oh, yeah. Because everybody in Nashville is a musician is a Hey, man. You want to bet? Yeah, play the bass. Yes. Ding, ding, ding. Got it again. Yeah, that really, and we've gotten some kind of weird news about some friends of ours. And so we were in a it was kind of like a happy mood to be there. But at the same time, we were sad about what was going on with our friends. Yes. And really, I think it started almost there that God was just showing us throughout the whole time. About our faith. Yes. Oh, somehow I think this might be your God shout I'm not sure.

13:36 Well, it'll relate to kind of, Tina Curry: you're absolutely right. And I think being there in his presence really helped us and strengthened us so that we could be strong for our friends, you know, and it was in that it is tied to my god chat, because boy, was my faith stretched. Adam Curry: That's a good term. You said that several times? I think that's a good stretch. Yeah, Tina Curry: it was, I mean, it will read that somewhere. It was. That was that. And I had said that to pastor Jimmy and that's how I feel. And so it was a a huge download of wisdom for me. I think for all four of us. Yes. Yes. And so, you know, although disappointed and sad, it was also such a huge growing lesson for me. And because pastor Jim even said that he says, you know, the some of the hardest challenges are where you really are stretched.

14:35 Adam Curry: And I would say, you know, we had prayed for our friends for months about, you know, some some things that we're going through, and it didn't turn out the way anybody wanted. And such an easy moment to just go, Well, that didn't work. What good is not at all and the teaching for us was like, oh, no, no, no, no, no, this is God's plan. God has His plan. He's good. He's good. So He wants good for all of us. It'll come Yeah, but not this moment. And it's not like, you know, I want to read fire engine God, please give it to me. It just doesn't work that way. No. And that was we were kind of in that mode. I guess we everyone was. And Tina Curry: so the whole weekend it was just lovely to be able to worship and we worship to God the entire weekend. So so that first so after we went to the dinner, we ended up going to the kickoff concert. But before the kickoff concert happened, we ran into sir by His grace and his beautiful wife. Yes, so we got to Yeah, Sam. Yeah. And also the Mercy V boys came up and they both it was Barry and Mike. Well, we were in Adam Curry: the audience. This is Unknown: before the concert, but we're both at the Grand Adam Curry: Delta ballroom which is like two and a half 1000 people Yes. And and by the way, the sound except for the first act the sound was phenomenal. I could not believe how good the sound was. The visuals they had screens everywhere. Every concert in the world I don't care if you're Christian music

16:06 country music rock music you should have the lyrics on the screen. Awesome. I agree. This is just awesome. Everybody did though know most of them was on the screen in the back. Yeah, it was hard to see most of them ya know? It's a real thing in Christian music and worship music. But it should be for every concert Yeah. And so Mike and Mike we have our little you know, Mike Nathan berry Adam takes pastor Jamie to write it wasn't it he when he changed phone numbers he got kicked out Tina Curry: I know that he I know that he texts me He texts with my calls him Yeah, but you know it's kind of cool like he got kicked out Adam Curry: extracted himself from the group Jimmy if you want back in let me know. And so that texted me hey you guys here so yeah we're we're kind of halfway back and and so we're texting back and forth stand back stand that up like and I was like and I texting I look pretty foolish here right now and then they came up and then they're just like hey how you doing? Well Tina Curry: they both had no agenda T shirts on tote and like they were they performed that night yeah Adam Curry: in there no agenda I put that on on Twitter yeah in there no agenda T shirts those guys their fans man But where's my as much fans of what they do which is really cool.

Yeah, so yeah, so that first caught so they came up and said hello and survived Grace David wicker and Jules came up and we're talking and and so then the concert started and it was amazing. I was gonna I have consumed by fire was the first band that played and that's when the bass Adam Curry: the bass was rattling my teeth. paid good money for these Could you turn that down? Tina Curry: Like if this concert is going to be like this the whole time? This is bad too much. And then they corrected an Andrew rip came out and Kane. Kane was really good. Fantastic. And then Mercy Me performed at the end and they probably played for an hour. A little Adam Curry: over an hour. Yeah. They were clearly the headliner of the evening. Yeah. And even though some of the things were the same as the concert we saw there were variations, but they're just so tight. And Bart the the lead singer, the man is one of the funniest performers. I know. Just has such a dry, pleasant sense of humor. Yeah, Tina Curry: he was very he was very entertaining. enamoring I think yes. And then Jimmy and Annette pastor Jimmy in and out ended up going to their room. She like she hit a wall. They Adam Curry: had I think he dragged through the last 100 feet. Yeah.

18:40 Tina Curry: They had a pretty tough they had a tough week. And so then we say till the end. And then Mike from Mercy says, Hey, come come backstage, come backstage. And so we're trying to figure out we know we walked out of the ballroom and you got the message and he's like, our managers gonna find you or the road manager is gonna find you. And we can't find him. And so you go up to the to like the sound. Adam Curry: Hey, anybody on comms? He was Daniel. And I knew that would impress you. Yeah, hold on one second. Daniel. There's two people here for you. I knew that would impress you. Anybody here got comms? Daniel. Come on, man. Come on. Come on. Come on, man. That was that was that was Adam MTV guy? A million concerts. It all came back. Hey, Mike. Wow.

You always remember the road manager? Tina Curry: Yes. And then. Yeah. So we went back and we were talking with Nate and Barry and Mike and Bart was there with all his huge family. I think he has five kids. Yeah. And Nate has four Adam Curry: kids. got four or five. Michael also has five, five. Tina Curry: And Mike has four I believe. Yeah, yeah.

There's Adam Curry: no agenda and we were just talking road stories. And then I say to to bury me. That's a really cool watch. He said he wanted. I got to know, man, it's okay. I just mentioned, it's a cool watch. That's, uh, Tina Curry: yeah, that was fun. So that was the first night. So then the second morning, and that's like, Okay, we got to go downstairs for breakfast at nine. So imagine Adam Curry: a prison mess. With about probably 10 Different buffet lines. No, Tina Curry: no, there was not there was. I don't know maybe for Oh, not many at all short, Adam Curry: short lines, because we're running out of food. Yeah.

21:02 And so and so we come in at nine is supposed to be on some 930 and, and we sit down and you and Annette. I think we're waiting a monster by His grace and, and Jules came later. And we're sitting there and you come back and you go Do you have a plate of potatoes for me? I'm like, this is something's wrong here. This is and then had a huge plate of bacon. I got potatoes. I didn't I didn't get the bacon. Why were you not in the bacon wine. You were in the potato? Tina Curry: Because we split up and then then I saw them bring the eggs out. So they had this big thing of eggs. Okay, and it's like a prison line. Basically, it's Adam Curry: the whole place like the lights are on high. It's like a basement almost feels like a basement that you could ride scooters in if you wanted to. Or not Tina Curry: well organized this. I get I'm like, oh, eggs.

I'm like okay, this is for me and and we get a big plate and so you got a big plate of eggs before that you brought you got back with you came back with Frosted Flakes. Adam Curry: And we got to eat more than these potatoes man. Like, I'll take I'll take the sugar on top of the cardboard. That's fine for me. That's all I could find. So Tina Curry: I bring back this big thing of eggs. And that has some two for Jimmy for bastard Jimmy. And I split them up and I give you most of them and I take a bite of them. And you at this point you inhale them up. Adam Curry: Have you ever eaten half? These Tina Curry: are just Adam Curry: they were powdered eggs powdered egg scrambled?

22:45 Yeah, it was bad. It was bad Gus. I mean, they also came with nothing. So I had to go and find some salt and pepper. Just to give it some flavor at night. It was bad. And we like Kay love great. Everything awesome food food zero, like 0.000 on the scale on the scale of zero news. Yeah, it was just that was so bad. Yeah. Tina Curry: Anyway, but they had to provide food because there's no way that the Gaylord could have accommodated to 2500 people just Adam Curry: restaurants so they had to do that's fine it's just that needs to improve that and I'm sure when the survey comes you will Tina Curry: know right we're gonna get one so Adam Curry: then we all went up Tina Curry: for was that was the singer showcase showcase Adam Curry: which was a really cool idea and these are I mean we know a you know all the all the artists I know some of them I know some of them Tina Curry: I know the songs but I don't know the art I didn't know a lot of the artists name but we had John Reddick met with John Adam Curry: Reddick they were all together and John Reddick is you know, God turned it around. I mean, I love that guy. That's been my jam. Okay, that's pretty much it.

I mean, all sorts of it was basically just all wall to wall Adam Curry: music. And they're sitting on stage talking about how they wrote the songs what the circuit was later. Nice. Yeah. And then they just start playing, you know, acoustic or to get you know, it's just he was like, everyone of course it's Nashville. So the community is not even really that big.

24:41 Everyone writes with each other. Right? Everyone plays on each other's records. Yes. But but because the sound was also just really really good. It was it was a fun experience. And just listen to their stories even though you're sitting in a ballroom is still near that screen so you can see forever you are I was impressed. I've been to a lot I know you have a lot of conferences a lot. This is one of the best I've ever been. So the first the Tina Curry: first concert was the emerging artists showcase and then at night after we had our plated dinner in the same Breitling 0.0. Adam Curry: Chicken. Tina Curry: I wasn't I wasn't that hungry, because we got I was starving because they didn't have much breakfast and we got burgers, remember? And then we came down for the plated dinner.

25:29 And so I just ate the I had a little itty bitty piece of chicken. Yeah, but so yeah, we did that the plated dinner Adam Curry: guy ate all my food, but I was like this. Yeah, it wasn't great. It gave me a chance to we weren't there for the food. No, we weren't. I gave me a chance to catch up with the SIR by His grace. Calling You old dude. You know, he would say, you know, they're like your age. I'm like, What are you? So these friends of ours do your Tina Curry: age like four years Adam Curry: younger than you What are you talking about here, bro? You keep saying buddy? Yeah, like what? Tina Curry: That was pretty funny. Yeah, Adam Curry: I know. He didn't mean it was just Tina Curry: Yeah, you were like giving you give give Adam Curry: him a hard time. Why not he Sir sir. By His grace. He can handle it. Yes snowboarder Tina Curry: so after that we went to the Songwriters Showcase and that was the one that was hosted by Steven Curtis Chapman.

And that was like, talking about how you know when we pray that what our prayers aren't always answered, because Adam Curry: it was all message. Yeah, every single song was another message because all Tina Curry: you have to remember when you pray. It's all coordinated God's will. It's right. Yeah. But no. So then that was really nice, though with Steven Curtis Chapman because Jeremy camp was on. He was the one that was all the way at the end. They kept referring to his muscles, remember? Yes.

The way they brought down pieces of set was you know, things are changing. They have two presenters over on the left stage of the right stage. It was great and again actually not again but very atypical for award shows. It was well written it was actually funny that people can deliver their lines in a funny way.

I know that my faith is just going to continue to be fortified and strengthened and stretched and pulled and, and I welcome that.

But it's second Corinthians chapter six, verse two, and it says four he says, in the time of my favor, I heard you In the day of salvation I helped you, I tell you now is the time of God's favor now is the day of salvation. And my notes that I have here I said God ordained moments when opportunity seem over our head. So this up this situation seemed overhead, but God looked at as an opportunity. And he put me if it right there for a reason, and he knows that I can get through it, because it's the season of failure favor. This time right now, supporting people I love was strategically designed for me to come up higher. And it did, it really did. And to understand also, to really fully understand that outcomes are His will, not ours, it's his will. And so when your will be done, and whistle when I pray, it's his will, not mine. And in I've stepped into it, and I know, He'll guide me and he's going to stretch me and like I said, he's going to fortify my faith and even when things are too much to bear, and so that that scripture just really showed me how much he is. He's invested in my
