Tina Curry: But anyway, I wanted to say so we went to the event at Lara Logan here lar Logan Adam Curry: to go to carfit Kerviel, which is very dangerous, had guns and everything to enter. Tina Curry: And we went to club Charles, which is a beautiful supper club that you have to join. It's, it was very, it was a very nice, probably. No, there's about 80 people, there are a few people. So we got to sit with all a lot of our church buddies. So the sparkle Meister and her husband, Adam Curry: Debbie, the sparkle Meister. Tina Curry: So Debbie's always She's always so complimentary to us. And she always says, Oh, you too, you too, are just such the cutest couple and she looked at me she was you know, you too would have been so awesome if you would have had children together. And so I said that to you today and you go children, I would beat the little mom I would eat a little mongrel. Here's what it's like, I miss my dog. I miss me.

4:24 Adam Curry: Why is she not sitting with us? What Is she mad what she has, by the way, she would pick up a little bad habit in the slammer. What was she talking back she bark and all of a sudden at night, put it in their bed and she's bored Bark Bark, bark bark. Now, you tell me how you want to run because, you know that was because we went to Dallas. So I don't know where you want to go in your timeline. But we do have some fun stuff to talk about. Some interesting things did take place. Yeah. Tina Curry: So last Friday, we flew to Dallas in a teeny tiny airplane. The same teeny tiny airplane that we flew to a Adam Curry: trip to Europe. Service sr 22 Turbo brand new brand new plane smell only 70 hours on it fantastic aircraft that we get 198 knots we It only took us less than an hour to get. We Tina Curry: get to the airport in Gillespie county here in Fredericksburg. And I see the pilot and I look at him I go, how old are you? He was 23.

5:23 Adam Curry: To be fair, he's the he's the Safety Pilot. I was flying. Let's just be fair about this. I will. But Tina Curry: right away, you're like, how long have you been flying for? He has been flying for years. Yeah, Adam Curry: but he's a commercial instructor. He's you know, he's about to be hired away by good. Oh, I mean, because I like having these people along for the ride. Particularly if you're gonna go up to debt. First of all, I just don't want to fly without a safety pile. You know? Why? Why? Why not do it? Yeah. Renting a plane anyway. So extra expenses. Not too bad. Yeah. The radio traffic doing the radio and all the stuff that you have to pay attention to up in Dallas with five airports with military jets. Everything flying around.

6:05 Tina Curry: Yeah, cuz we saw the military. We landed in Dallas. fly bys. Yes. So the flight there was perfect. Perfect. And we had the tailwind. So we were going fast. And we got there quick. Adam Curry: Face it a five and a half hour drive. We did it in under an hour. Yeah. It Tina Curry: was great. And Adam Curry: anyway, so Tina Curry: the wall did take off was a little wobbly, but it was Adam Curry: fine. But I mean, yeah, just regular wobble, a little bit of wind. But Tina Curry: it's amazing how God always puts a Christian in the copilot Yes. Right. Adam Curry: You know, how did it come? Well, Tina Curry: he researched you. He said, Yeah. Adam Curry: But he didn't. He didn't know. But he's like, you know, I Googled you. He's 23. Yeah, Isaac. Great, great, Greg.

And he says, Oh, you're a Christian. I said no. I said, I'm a Jesus freak. Yes. And and you know, he's the he, I think his dad was a Baptist minister and the worship team wasn't the worship team. He paid played guitar. And he's from where was he from?

Good at insignia when I'm doing the landing. The we had to hurry up because either because they thought we looked and sounded professional because he was on the radio. And we're going so fast. Okay, you guys can slip in before the Amazon 737 which is right behind us. Oh, yes. The prime airways is called because that airport airport. That's all Amazon. So that was all great.

8:23 And then we went to Yeah, Tina Curry: so we landed great. We got to the airport. Fantastic. The Uber driver was even hilarious. Yeah, cuz I appreciate a funny it Adam Curry: was. It was a clipped weekend. So he was telling us about all the crazy people coming in. Oh, yes. For the Eclipse. Yeah. And the fact that rental cars were $600 a day. I'm like, wow, it was cheaper to fly. cheaper to rent a plane. Fly crazy. Tina Curry: Yeah. But yeah, so we got to the hotel. We had just enough time to relax for about 15 minutes. And then we had to get ready. And we went to the big birthday party. It was a fixed birthday party and they were hosting it at their home. And Chris, his wife did a beautiful job organizing the whole thing. I mean, there was food galore, big balloon just Adam Curry: reminders. Everybody knows who Vic is because my buddy from South Jersey. I know him from the music business days. And when he's producing Skid Row, Alice Cooper, writing songs, all that kind of stuff. And he got into it. And he lives in Colorado and was doing it stuff and then moved to Texas.

9:27 And we reconnected with him a while back we talked about Tina Curry: Yeah, we went up to their house in January to their home in January stayed a couple nights but I I get along so well with Chris. I mean, I just we just click we click and I met her I met her sisters and I clicked with her sister her sister patty. I just had jersey Adam Curry: and it's the same cloth the same chemical composition Tina Curry: very interesting. Yeah, I do. I adore Chris I really do. And I mean, there were so many guests there and she was always like I I can't rely I don't we won't really have a whole lot of time to visit. I'm like oh Oh, that's fine. I'm just happy to be here. I was so quick with so happy he's so joyful because he was surrounded by so many people that love 5060 Adam Curry: People that love Him and they came in from Jersey or hotel. Yeah, that's a testament. Yeah, people really hate is the kind of guy you call them up say, Dude, I need you know, people, he would Tina Curry: say no, I love victo I adore his wife. So of course, she brings out this big, fabulous birthday cake. Birthday cake and I didn't drink all night. I ate nothing but be great. Yeah, I didn't. Great. I knew I wasn't gonna drink. And then they serve the cake. And I'm like, I got, I sit down. I got I didn't drink because I'm gonna have a piece of cake. And so of course, I pick the biggest piece there Adam Curry: was like five inch frosting on this thing. And I'm like, moving it away from you cutting the frosting in half.

10:53 I'm like, you cannot have all this sugar. That's too much. You're going to be Bill Gates and in the middle of the night. We can't I don't want any of that. You saved me. Well, I think I did because the frosting was outrageous. Tina Curry: But you know, cake is my most favorite dessert. And so I have a witness for cake. It's your Adam Curry: favorite breakfast your favorite dessert. I Tina Curry: never would believe me. So the party was lovely. We had such a nice time when we met so many lovely people. And I Adam Curry: hadn't seen his brother Steve for man. 30 years maybe. And I worked with him. Actually. That's how I met Vic through his brother because he worked at z 100. And Steve had pictures of a lot of the people from z 100. Yeah, they all got old. I'm like, Wow, man. If you show my pictures of them, do they look and go man, Adam got old. Yeah, sadly, anyway, but most of them are alive.

11:48 Tina Curry: Well, when we're going back to when we landed. I had to I took a picture of you. You are. You're up. You're standing on the picture. Adam Curry: I love that. Tina Curry: I posted it. I posted it like a man and his rented plane go. Did you see rented play? Because it is and I don't want people to think Oh, Adam Curry: is that why you did it? Okay, it was funny. Okay. Doesn't mean everything was good. Everything was great. Yes. Tina Curry: And so then the next morning, so this was like a 24 hour trip not even 24 hours, like 20 hours, Adam Curry: which is the whole point of flying. So you don't have to sit in the car for 12 hours total. We're at Tina Curry: breakfast and I'm watching the wind. The wind is blowing like crazy. And I'm like, I'm a little nervous about the wind and you're educating me you're like Tina, it's not the wind. The wind is actually our friend. The wind helps you lift the flaps, you put the flaps down and helps you get up into the air tonight your friend and I'm like, Okay, I'm just a little nervous with the wind because you hear about these wind shears. With a big commercial airplane. It may go down.

12:51 Adam Curry: You're like No, when's the last wind shear accident? You heard 1889 All right. Hey, would you rather fly in a Boeing? I hear? They're great. Yes. Would you rather fly in United? I hear this a great airline. Yes. Tina Curry: The the engine cover came off the Southwest Airlines next week. Oh, yeah. So I mean, you know, anyway, so I'm just watching the wind. You're trying to calm me down. We're standing outside. We're waiting for the Uber to take us to the airport. The wind is blowing my hair like in my face. And I'm thinking oh my gosh. Adam Curry: If I can just for a second. Yeah, any turbulence in the air is not from wind. It is typically from thermals, which is heating of the earth. That's why if you go over water, then you know, actually the plane will dip down a little bit and depends on your altitude and there's a lot of things that play into it. But in the Texas summer, you can get some you know, hot weather and but of course, you know, you're still thinking the wind, the wind is gonna kill it. Let's Tina Curry: pretty much educated. Yeah. I don't know anything about your travel, no, and wind and so you're trying to calm me down. We go inside my head, the hairs blown around.

14:00 I'm thinking oh my gosh, okay. He's trying to educate me. I understand. But I'm still a little I was a little nervous. So we get to the airport. And we see Isaac, he gets up early to check out the playing get everything ready, get us field up, and we're like, Okay, we're ready to go. I got some bad news. I go, what? We're gonna have a lot of turbulence on the way home. I looked at Adam, exactly Adam Curry: what he said, What do you say? He said, he made it where he said, I've got a sigmat warning that there's a turbulence area, which is even worse. Really? Tina Curry: I thought he said the whole way home and I'm like, yeah, yeah, the whole the whole area was okay. If you're not familiar with the Nashville flight, I would say go back to I don't know what episode it was. It was about a year ago. Where I was. I almost lost my life in that flight.

14:51 Adam Curry: You didn't but okay, granted, that was the worst turbulence I've ever been in. Yeah, it was not. Tina Curry: I didn't you know, I didn't think I was as strong My ties my dad but you but when he said that, you I think my face went white. And you? I don't know you were like looked at me. Adam Curry: No, you Okay, so here's the sequence. Okay, first of all I look at him like, like, what do you just do? Well, I have to I have to let you know. This isn't. Okay. So I'm like when I'm focused on you and you're like, like, would you rather take an Uber First you say yes, I'm like, do you really want to take an Uber? And then he's, I'm gonna go to the bathroom. So I'm settling up at the, you know, with the bill.

15:37 And then you come back and then you walk by, and then you look me in the face and you stick your finger in my face. I'm not ever doing this again, just so you know, that never notice again. I was I was so upset for you that they're like, what's your zip code on the card? I don't remember my zip code. I was Googling my zip code. Tina Curry: And asked me I was like, 786 Adam Curry: I couldn't hear you. I'm like, I'm not asking her again. Like, I'm like, Dude, I'm sorry. My wife's upset. I just I just got to anyway. So we go go on the little golf cart out to the plane to get in the plane. And you know, you're probably flying off the wing almost from the wind. That's not helping you. Isaac's very quiet. We get in the front, we turn off your headphone. I'm like, Tina Curry: no, no. You're trying to help me get in the plane.

16:27 Adam Curry: I don't know. You push me aside. Like, I wanted to hold your bag. Like Tina Curry: I was so scared. I know. I'm sorry. I didn't mean your was not your fault. And it was just let me before you talk about your cockpit. Adam Curry: Convo banter. Tina Curry: I'm in the back. And I text in it a mic? Will you please pray? Because there's supposed to be a lot of turbulence and I cannot call myself down. It's it's something like that. And then I texted all my prayer warrior girlfriends and said the same thing like they're supposed to be bad. Will you please my and I'm back there and I'm praying. And I start to cry. I know I have my sunglasses on. And I'm crying because I am.

17:09 I didn't realize how much Nashville affected me. And I was like, I don't want to go through that again. I don't want to go through that again. It's so I'm trying to I have no Kleenex. My nose is running. My eyes are running. I'm crying. I have my sunglasses on because I didn't want you to see me cry saw Adam Curry: you crying. I knew it right away. You Do you know how what your mouth looks like when you cry? No. It's horrible. So I say Isaac? Tina Curry: Well, wait, wait, let me finish. So I'm praying. I'm praying to God. And I'm like, Okay, God. If this is your will, if we go down, I really don't want to go down. But if this is your will, I understand this is the plan for my life. I got it. I really don't want to, but I'm just putting it in your hands. I'm trusting you. And please pray. I'm praying for favor all the way home. I'm hoping you open up the skies and just let us fight. And I'm just praying, praying, praying. And then I'm like, Oh, no. What if the turbulence is so bad, and it knocks Adam and the instructor out? I don't remember the how to land the Adam Curry: parachute. It's blue button. red handle red handle.

18:16 Yeah, I will. And I'm like, I'm upfront gone. Isaac, I'm not gonna give her the briefing. And bro. Oh, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I think you learned a valuable lesson here. This is It's okay. Because you know, it is what it is. But you should have just said to me like, hey, you know, how do we handle this? And I said, I'm going to hold your hand you're going to fly Tina Curry: and you held my hand almost the whole flight? Yeah. Reach back like Adam Curry: my arms almost falling off. I felt I felt bad for you not at all. And it was even smoother than the way over it was Tina Curry: God answered my prayer he did guide gave me favor. And and that's that's what it was answered. Because he looked at the book called The Signet sigma.

Tina Curry: And then so when I got out of the plane, he turned to me and he said, I'm really sorry. I'm really sorry. I said something. And that's what I said to you. If I wish he would not have said anything at all Adam Curry: at all. No, he shouldn't. He shouldn't have that should have been my decision. I was piloting command. So Tina Curry: I don't know that. I'm going to get back on another little plane anytime soon. I don't know I apparently I haven't recovered from Nashville. I just haven't, because it can't I did not want to go through that again.

So for what ever so what we need is cork soakers to support this show more so we can get a bigger plane with the pilot and I can sit in the back and you'll be in you'll think it's safer. Okay, okay. And you'll think that this turbulence is much less just because you didn't have to enter over the wing. But I love you. I respect you. But your flight going there was fine. Tina Curry: It was fine. It was Adam Curry: fine. It was good. It was good. The flight back was just traumatized. Yes. Yeah, that's okay. You're traumatized. I know. You know? I can't help it. Yeah. limits your life.

And his wife. And so this is a they are lovely at entertaining. They have a wonderful house for entertaining. Oh, Tina Curry: they do. And Andreea is an amazing. I'm not gonna say

It was it was nice company. You know, we had the owner of Augusta vignettes and his wife, which is a great winery. Wow. Remember members of the club. Did some new people who are new to Fredericksburg. We're building Robert and Marianne, Marissa, Marissa, I'm sorry. And they're building a Resort Spa Hotel with homes. Yep. And then we had Bill Bill who was David's friend from college from Los law school, right. And so we bought we bought one of so he does wine and he had been setting this thing up David David is a wine expert and nut job. So he you know, he just he sticks thermometers in the bottles. He sets it in ice for a second and takes it out. He knows the how many hours in advance to open each one and for the for the for the vineyard nation. For the cork soakers we had a chateau Chavo Cheval Blanc. From 1982 Grand Cru classic Oh, Tina Curry: that was the champagne. No, no, no, the

He's never said that about wine. have told him I liked like, is too expensive? Isn't there's no good man. It's always never Tina Curry: like the $7. Bordeaux from Kirkland. Yeah. Well, he said, Adam Curry: This is good for you and Tina for your palate. Yeah.

Well, Tina Curry: I couldn't drink that much. I was I mean, I didn't finish the champagne. You kept Adam Curry: giving me your Tina Curry: tip and that idea handed over. Adam Curry: I get more of the Cheval Blanc handed over Tina Curry: go for our wine. I that's what I wanted to Adam Curry: remember having our one ideal. Tina Curry: But I had to be really careful. But yes, that was quite the wine evening. That was I Adam Curry: mean, that was a vineyard nation extraordinaire, Coke circus. Circus Coke, cork. Cork soaker special. What a treat. That was Yeah, yeah. And we really just have cool friends. is true. Joe, Tina Curry: and Andrew is like, I want to have you guys over again. And it's really just because we want to confirm our vows to each other in front of God, because it was in front of a dog walker. Yes. Five years. So and we're ready for that. But we also always talk about our community, always, yes, always, because we've never had the depth of friendships that we have now in our life ever, ever. So this one is Psalm 9313. And it's this is this is the Scripture, it's the second half of the Scripture, but it says planted in the house of the Lord, that they will flourish in the house of the Lord, planted in the house of the Lord, they were forced in the house of the Lord. And basically, what the scripture is saying is that when you're plugged into a community of faith, there is a blessing on your life that will cause you to bloom to blossom and to flourish. And don't you I mean, I slightly Adam Curry: I see that Tina Curry: Yeah, and Adam Curry: I think everyone in our community would say the same move come from outside to Fredericksburg, a toad Absolutely.

56:19 Tina Curry: And that you reach you reach levels that we couldn't have reached on our own, there's no way I mean, everybody just lifts everybody up and being in God's word every morning, and then relying on our community, find yourself a community, like we have, your life will be enrich, Adam Curry: find a church, all through the church. And Tina Curry: so and then, it also said, this is true, because Jesus says, when two or three are gathered together, in my name, I am there in the midst of them. So gosh, because I mean, five people, 10 people, nine people that we had at dinner, we each bring God with us. And his presence is healing, and the fullness of such joy. And I think about that when I think about all these amazing, beautiful friends that are going to gather at our vow renewal that are going to be lifting us up in prayer and just be there to celebrate with us. So, um, yeah, I just thought that was so cool. Excellent. Yeah. And we learn from each other, you know, when we each bring God with us, which only strengthens his work and our prayers. His presence brings healing and joy. And together our faith and strength are multiplied. I just love that.
