And Kevin could not come because of the restrictions that our government had put in place to not allow anyone to enter the country if they were not fully vaccinated or Tina Curry: on a plane coming over only crossing the border. They could go no, no, Adam Curry: if you walk across the border, okay. You get a cell phone. You get a debit card. Yeah. Oh. So finally, those restrictions were dropped. We I think we talked about a couple shows ago. So booked right away and and you know, they were ready to go. They got on the plane. Saturday, Sunday. No, they got to the airport, the airport on Saturday, right from Rotterdam to Amsterdam. And something that I've never seen happen before, or heard about, or even heard of where? So firstly, they were delayed some technical issues, then they drew the blinds. Yes. So that people could not see the work being done on the aircraft that's new. And then they say, Well, we're canceling it. But the pilot actually came out and spoke to everybody and said, Well, you know, this was so severe that you know, if something went wrong, we basically wouldn't have enough you know, glide path to land anywhere. If we were over the ocean. I think it was worth risking.

4:35 Tina Curry: And Christina, who is not a fan of flying No, no, she Adam Curry: does it really well. She did. Well, so she said that Kevin and Kevin's Mom always said like no, this flight didn't feel right to them. And I just said you know, I pray for God to get you here safe. So if if his if is a way of doing that is by canceling this broken plane, right? And she gave me a big heart and a big smile. I'm on the text message. So I got to my hotel room in Amsterdam or in at the at the airport, which is actually not bad that the Sheraton is where we'll be staying. We go on vacations nice the hotel in the airport. And you know, and thank you KLM they gave each of them a whopping 15 Euro voucher for your overnight stay.

5:19 Tina Curry: We had to pay we paid for the hotel room, right? Yeah, the $15 was equivalent to $15 Adam Curry: euros. Yeah, yeah. So the next flight, which was now no longer a different direct flight, because so this is Sunday morning. Now it's KLM has a direct flight took several times, like from Amsterdam to Austin, and vice versa, to another flying through JFK. And they have a two hour window between landing and getting the next flight which, interestingly was going to be American Airlines. I don't even know how KLM work that I rebook them. They rebook them automatically. To they get in Christina goes through customs within five minutes, Kevin. More than an hour in the line, customs, the customs line. And then and then they say, Well, do you have your ticket for your flight back? He says, Well, no, I don't have that. He said, What do you mean, Christina had the dress? Like, you know, you and I would do probably, and he I think he got flustered? And then like, well, you know, you're gonna have to go to the room, the little room if you don't, if you don't count me, show me your strips. The little room, the little room, if you've ever had been, has been stuck at customs, it's not good.

6:31 Little room can last several hours. I've been in there many, many times, because some kind of customs hassle. And so he was able to call me and I sent them a coffee Tina Curry: during the show. I'm listening to the live show. Yeah, and I hear you like John, hold on a minute. So I gotta make sure the kids are getting in. And you are Yeah, you are trying to figure it out on the fly. Adam Curry: And then you know, in that now I'm seeing the time ticking down. Christina has the suitcases, then they have to get from terminal four to terminal eight. And so they literally you know, we've had this happen you walk up to the gate, gate closed, sorry, you're not getting on the flight. Now it's like seven or eight in the evening in New York. And now they have to Tina Curry: because once they get through customs, they have to go through through the TSA line and do everything Adam Curry: all over again. You have to drop off your bag which they had to drop off at American to the lug their suitcase aid and the whole thing was a mess. And then so they wound up staying in some Marriott in Queens.

7:29 Tina Curry: Anyway, finally ended up spending the night in New Adam Curry: New York and then finally made it out. Friday. So Friday. Oh, no day I'm there. I don't know what day is. Tina Curry: Saturday. I got to New York on Sunday. missed the flight spent the night in New York. I'm on Sunday night and flew finally got here Monday. Adam Curry: I was flustered. I'm still I'm still confused. Yeah, it was my day. Yeah. Tina Curry: There was a little flustered, but they handled it pretty well. Yeah. Well, there's a lot of pain in the butt. Oh, man. What a pain in the butt. Every Adam Curry: single show broken. The system is so broken. I know. But they're here, which is great. And we're so far we've had a great time. Yeah, it's been fantastic and great. Yes. Lots of laughs so far. No, I'd already met Kevin you like Kevin? Oh, yeah, he's Tina Curry: great. He's, I love him. I love how he holds his own with her. He Adam Curry: doesn't take much out from her.

And he Adam Curry: is that we're calling it Tina Curry: strong personality, which is so funny because we've had lots of conversations like at the dinner table and we're told her that it was going to be operation spin down, that she's not gonna have any inheritance at all. She goes, I don't think that's right. Adam Curry: I said well, until I see your grandchild its operation spin down all the way you better be getting me an heir to the air otherwise, there'll be nothing you get you get a watch or spankings and wires and boxes. I love pestering children with so much and Tina Curry: then you lay this on her you're like because you all all we want from our kids and occasional text.

And she was she was a little worried about, she's like, she thought she was gonna lose you. Are you? Are you nuts? You're gonna go crazy. Am I gonna lose lose? You get into all this god stuff she said then. And so we had a nice chat were there and that was pretty good at the time. And now, we sit down to the dinner table. We say grace before.

Tina Curry: Are you exhausted? Adam Curry: I am a tad exhaust. Well, we Tina Curry: are having a few issues. Issues in the house though with them here. Well, well, the number of people in the house the volume of people we are not used to like, our dishwasher is full. Yeah.

Adam Curry: And though she'll talk about how neat her houses and then obviously all the crap everywhere. It's like, wow, this is amazing. I'm like, I Tina Curry: just accumulate it in this corner on the dining room table. But we were having an ongoing issue. What's the ongoing issue? Adam Curry: Toilet lids are up and we even discussed it. We even talked about it and they even agree Oh, yes. Much smarter. You don't want fecal matter flying around when you flush? Well, there's fecal matter for I never read because they're not closing the lid. People is very simple. It's just hygiene. It's not that hard to remember.

Were completely up and I go, Adam, and you come over you go. Did I do? Adam Curry: I have been so honestly, I told you. It's also my teeth. I mean, I don't want to get into everything right away, but my teeth will fall and Tina Curry: you're gonna have nothing to blame. I blame that on I have to get your chopper Adam Curry: was truly confusing me. Yes. I mean, I was so preoccupied. Tina Curry: And even Jimmy called you out that when he came over one day, the toilet seat was up and you didn't want to say anything? Yeah, Adam Curry: yeah. Really? JP, bro. They're young, and Molly. So whatever. Whatever they whatever they do. And so we said on lat what's today Wednesday on Monday, we said okay, we're gonna get up and go to the parade. It starts at 10. So you think he could be up at nine and they looked at each other? Like, what? Adam Curry: Well, yeah, we could set an alarm, I guess. Tina Curry: So I went, I walked with a net. And then I came back and you were cooking breakfast like a chef? Like the chef on bear?

Because it's the top is Adam Curry: strawberry and strawberry cake. Have you really Tina Curry: eyeing it ever since I started 75 hard because I'm like I'm gonna mock being neck Adam Curry: you're not gonna mock bang any? You're not gonna know mock bang of anything. Are you sure? I can't get the bigger one though. Just because No, Tina Curry: I don't think we need the bigger one now which is extra? I'm not going to eat a lot.

Like Gucci Mane bags on Tina Curry: club. Like we're just going to the brain. And Christina Adam Curry: has a Madonna boost car.

Tina Curry: We go over to the parade and we end up staying. I ended up seeing Diana for my Bible study. And she and her husband came over and they chatted with us with us. The whole nice guy like microwatt Yeah, like we're supposed to get together with them.

And it's just going to be you mean Jimmy internet and we'll be preparing to keep our living up in the blast and those tunes over and over again. And we're just going to be waving and throwing out you know, cheese cheese. Cheese sticks. Because everybody else has it has something going on.

The miniature horse. That horse had a lot of personality. Adam Curry: Well, as Christina said, Little horses. They can be you call it a lot of personnel. They can be mean they can be loud, they can kick they can they'll they'll make a lot of noise because they you know, they're frustrated. Yeah, they're not full grown. Very cute. Very, very cute. Very cute. You have a pet. You have this dog. This is basically the size of that. We can put the little cart behind her and make her dry. There you go. There's your float. Oh. Oh, Phoebe and Chevy have to be on the float too. Yes.

22:19 Tina Curry: He's gonna need a little air conditioning. So yeah, so we finished up we went to the little parade. They thought it was cute. I mean, I think they indulged us. They actually will. Adam Curry: Kevin's never been in America. And so far he's been almost arrested. You know? He slept in Tina Curry: Queens and watch dog eating contest last night. Adam Curry: That was the funniest I flipped on the TV. We're watching. Oh, look, you know this is egging them on to move to Nashville. Look how cool Nashville is look at the party, I guess. Cool. And then they have the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest on ESPN and we watched the whole thing and he loves it. So gross. Tina Curry: I've never seen a winner shoving two hot dogs in his mouth at one time and basic Adam Curry: water to 60 Tina Curry: dogs and it looked like he was gonna up Chuck like he looked like he was gonna he was gonna Adam Curry: call it something else they call it Reversal of Fortune. They call it yes the rules are Reversal of Fortune is automatic disqualification first Tina Curry: so so after the parade, so then we come home we grill out the the kids are swimming and we grill out and then they want to go see the fireworks. Well Adam Curry: first of all we had vodka. Oh, we advise me Tina Curry: Cooper. I can't. And I had one drink. I was I got in the pool. I swam. I now hear that a net. I hadn't Adam Curry: gotten the full he got in the pool. Yeah, no one laughed at me. But now he's killing him because I'm working out. Yeah, I know.

Yeah, but it Uh Yeah, I kind of liked the idea of AR VR beasts yeah yeah shooting guard there yeah I kind of like so we Tina Curry: so we end up going to the see the fireworks, you know and so they start and Christina goes oh, these aren't really very good Adam Curry: that's Christina Tina Curry: What do you expect Adam Curry: wow we're actually good for our live yeah I just like the idea everyone just kind of shows up at the fairground on the truck bed or they're sitting on the grass. I thought it was good. It reminded me of many, many fourth of July's growing up coming back, you know, on vacation from the Netherlands to visit family. And then you know, going in going out, you know, sneaking beers, you know, when you were like 13 and stuff with a 16 year olds. Yeah. Look into girls. Look at A Girl Are those girls over there? Yeah, yeah, it was very, very American. And it brought back a lot of memories for me, including my daughter bitching about it. Yeah. Typical. Yeah. My mom.

You know, it could give you cataracts. Okay, okay. He's, you know, and he's just, it's all very physical at this point. He's, he's shaving stuff the teeth out. Oh, you took them out and he's shaving them down and making a fin but now we're really taking our time. So it's like, it's like a high school shop class. You know, it's like, you know, getting up just right. And then you know, cementing ons, I gotta hold it in place. So it was really kind of cool, you know, and they're real now now they're in now they're in tight because he's gone away for two weeks.

And then Hollywood will do another full head, scan everything then they ordered the teeth. And then two weeks after that, they're gonna screw it all in and then I should be set for life.

Like, I like Matt Walsh and all those guys too, but then they're gonna go on there and then the god bubble, and in a way I'm also kind of selectively in it because I was on Glenn Beck although Glenn Beck I think is of a high your stature? He's not really, you know, like a social media type thing. You know, Megyn Kelly is definitely outrage based. Yeah, although I set her straight I think I did. She even said so you think differently about so? She thought it already? Yeah, maybe she's back in the day. Yeah. But it's kind of just, it's like a circuit a circuit of you are saying, and I don't even know if, if opposing opinions if they have that much of a circuit.

So she came to me because she got messages from God that God wanted me to know certain things about myself and it centered around mirrors hold I need your clutter.

I turned around, looked in the mirror and Jesus was standing there. And she said that God brings you peace and it brings you joy. That's God. And so have a Adam Curry: good waistline, Jesus. And that God is the one that shows my truth. So all those stories, you know, that I was told as a child is not the truth and I am in God's likeness, and that is the truth. And she said to me, she said, I'm getting I'm just gonna put this in her book. She said I'm getting the message that I don't know if she used the word message that you need to go and shatter all your mirrors not like physically shadow your mirrors but like, you know, in my mind, shatter your mirrors and she said and all the mirrors are laid out, and you need to take those and you need to put them And so it forms a disco ball and she said what happens but the disco ball said you shine the light out. And she said exactly. And so you shine the light and the light will shine out of you. And it's interesting because Catherine, our friend Catherine had the same visual when she was at a on a trip and Toulouse a spiritual trip. And she said she had that visual too, of me being at a lighthouse with the light kind of shining out. And so I think about that, and she said, you know, surrender my mirrors, surrender them. And so I've really been working out how Adam Curry: has it been working? Yes.
