2:07 Maybe we should explain this. This is a church-wide fast. Yes, it's a five-day church-wide biblical fast. Yes. And we all got instructions. You can do any kind of fasting you want. It could be, do you know anyone who's doing full-on only water and no food at all? I don't think I know anybody who's doing full-on. That, oh, I don't know. But the point is to spend time with God in the word, to get closer to him. And to be, to reflect. Yes. Yes, to reflect. And so the church handed out, they had a handout of each day, a devotional for every day, and the accompanying scripture. So I've been doing that. I've been doing my typical Bible study. I do two of them every day.

2:49 And I just finished reading the book that you're now reading. I handed that off to you, Max Lucado's book, What Happens Next. Very good book, very light read, very enjoyable. Yes. What was interesting is you said, what do you think of the highlights? I'm like, what highlights? I know, you couldn't even see them. Because I highlight my books like crazy all the time. I am. So we're in a little low-light situation in our living room. Because we don't really read there. In the morning, we read at the Kitchen Islands. Where we have plenty of light. But I'm also colorblind. And so I did not, I mean, only when I got my phone out and shown the light on it, do I, oh, I see. Yeah. There's like a little purple, little different colors.

3:32 Yes. But great book. And it's all about what comes next. And it's the timeline. What stood out in my mind is he said, this is like the plane inside the plane. The plane inside the plane. Yes, he said, thank God for the person who put the plane inside the plane. So when you're traveling, the analogy is, or the metaphor is, you're traveling in the plane. You have no idea where you are. You can look out the window. You can't identify anything. You don't know exactly where you are. But because of the moving map now in the plane, you can see where you are. Yes. And so he intends this book to be kind of a moving map of where we are and where we're going from the whole pathway all the way up to after the millennium.

And so, no, I liked when he said, this is the end, our life is the end to the beginning. Yes. Yes. And I was like, oh. And so I, the reason I, well, Karen and David gave us that book. And so we're doing revelation in Bible study. And I thought this is perfect to read this in conjunction with doing the Bible study. And so then after I finished that, I went to my bookshelf and I have all these books, these wonderful books that everybody has sent us and given us. And I came across this book called Heaven by Randy Alcorn.

5:00 And I open it and it says, see you there. Love, Andrea. And you're like, is that Andrea? I'm like, I couldn't remember who gave it to me. She gave it to me quite some time ago. And so I started reading this book and, oh my, it is heavy. Yeah. It is a lot. It's quite a tome. But what I like about it is that he, so he's talking about what happens in heaven. Yeah. You know, that there is a heaven and then there's going to be a new earth after the second resurrection. So after Jesus, after the millennium, after his thousand years reign center. But what I like about the book is that he supports everything with scripture. Sure. Everything is supported with scripture. So I'm reading the book and then I'm going to the Bible on my phone, the Bible app, because it's quicker.

5:44 I can get there quicker. And looking up the corresponding scripture. So I've been, it's heavy. It's really heavy. Yes. I can only read it like a little bit. You can't read a whole bunch in one go. Yeah. So yeah. So for the biblical fast, mine was to stay off the social media, no television, no wine. Not that I drink a lot of wine. And then to really do my devotionals and then read on top of that. And so I've been, I have not been squandering it. That's what I've been doing. That's for sure. Yes. And so how about you? What do you do? Well, I decided I would only have one meal a day. I would have the evening meal. You've been a little grumpy. I haven't been grumpy. I would not say I've been grumpy.

It definitely has thrown everything a little bit in off kilter where I'm waking up early, like really early, like five o'clock. But it's okay. Which was very interesting because there's also a little bit of, you know, it's not entirely, he's a biblical scholar. It's about a whole bunch of different things, but that was kind of nice. So I really have my pot and a half of coffee.

But I am hungry at the end of the day, but it's been, it has been good because I've been praying a lot during the day. You know, I get a lot of emails from people, especially I did that interview in Holland. And oh man, the amount of emails of people coming in, you know, coming in saying, could you please pray for me? This is going on with me.

8:31 There's a lot of prayer requests. I'm happy to do that. Of course. I've been praying a lot. Just, you know, boom, like pastor Jimmy says, you can never pray too much. You can pray for anything you want at any time. Like I was outside. Holy spirit, please let the dog poop. And she did right away, right away. Well, before we get onto the dog, I did want to say. So today you were sitting on the couch and I go, Hey, you want to get a little romantic and you go, I'm a little weak right now for no food. And then I literally crashed for like an hour on the couch. I was completely, and I'm still. Rejected again. I think not. This is not rejection, baby.

9:12 I love you so much. You know that. I'm a little weak right now. Here's the truth. I literally came out of the studio. It's three 30 in the afternoon. I've been doing emails. I've been, you know, we just a lot of stuff going on doing vote voiceovers. Adding songs to hello Fred, you know, just doing stuff. And I, oh man, I just need, and it was cold. It's so cold here right now. We wake up, it's 25 degrees on main street in Fred. It is cold. Yeah. And of course I've been out, you know, I go out three times a day and it's, I mean, it's going through my gloves now. I know it's biting. I know. So I just like, and I had the fire going the whole day and miss princesses in front of it.

So she's probably put, I bet she's probably put about three or three to five pounds back on water weight.

So we're trying to find a dog sitter. Yeah. Yeah. Well, we have, we're doing interviews. People are submitting applications and we're doing interviews and then we have to do a background check on everybody and a blood test. Do you mind if I just fingerprint you before?

This was one of my, and I'm bringing it up because it was one of my proudest. Is this when you raised like a huge amount of, like a grant or something? No, no, no. So, what we wanted to do, this was one of the best, best marketing programs I think I've ever done. Was this the balloons? No. Oh, okay. Balloons. I remember, all I remember is you're coming and you're doing, you're blowing up balloons here. What? We went to McDonald's and we're, and we, and we're doing something in the, in the restaurant. Oh, I don't remember that. With Shana, I think for some reason.

Anyway, so the, for the 30th anniversary, what I wanted to do was I wanted to take the story of Ronald McDonald house out into the community. And so I had this huge, like 10 by 10 display made, double-sided display. Oh, and it was, it was heavy, really heavy. It wasn't the Ronald McDonald house. So it was the front of the house, the actual house in Austin, the front, and then the back and the, and there were like two sides. And it took two people to lift it into your car, if I can recall. that wasn't the cool thing. You're ruining the story.

So it was the chronological story. And we had a huge party. And I had the display in the middle of the house. And so people were looking at it. And then I set up a whole marketing strategy where I dragged that thing all through Austin and put it in different locations, like the library and the hospital. And so that people could learn about, about the house. And I wanted, I wanted to bring our story to the community.

23:10 And so I'm like, Oh my gosh, I pulled this boot out. I love it. I tried to put it on my foot and realize it's not my size. And Annette goes, that's my size. I love them. I'm getting them. I'm like, what? Are you kidding me? I looked at her and I go, I don't like you very much right now. But you still ordered them for yourself. I was able to order them. Yes. So are you going to coordinate when you both wear the same boots? We have so many of the same. Bootsie twins. We have so many of the same. But we have so many of the same pieces of clothing. Cause we have very similar tastes. So yeah, it's so funny. So yeah. So we get home and we get back to her house and. No, we, we were, I mean, we were talking about God, the world and other things, man.

And he stops, we have a little chat. And I asked him, I said, Hey man, how's the new leadership? He says, it is great. We are a little hectic. The first three days, of course, first three days of January with everything new. He says, we are really excited and we've never had sheriffs here just driving through the neighborhood just to check, make sure everything's okay.

In Texas, you do the hand gesture. You lift up your, lift up your two fingers. Like, peace out, man. Yeah. Well, just two fingers up from your steering wheel. That's, but everybody, I'm like, why are you saying hello to everybody? You go, my grandfather used to do that. No, my grandfather used to give everyone a little beep, beep, beep. So I'll have a lot for my grandfather. This actually, um, so only on our roads here, not, not beyond the school or anything, our roads here.

He said, if, if someone was coming the other way and they waved and you didn't automatic do status. And I tell you, I'm walking Phoebe sometimes out here on the, when I do the big walk around and I'm just walking the dog and people are waving at me. And I'm like, so I've just become used to it. So I might as well just wave at everybody so I don't get do status. Yes. And that's just what we do here in Texas. So if you have a single guy driving in your slick car and this chick comes around the corner and her sporty SUV, you're going to be waving at her. Uh huh. That could be misinterpreted. So you have to, you have to, you have to take it there immediately.

37:58 So before I get into the story, when we were at church on Sunday and Jimmy was preaching and he was talking about how we need to share with others our faith. And before he even said that, and I told Annet this, before he even said that, I heard God say to me, because I was ushering, I was standing in the back during worship, and I heard God say to me, you need to share this story. And I was reluctant to share it because I was worried that it was going to be like braggy and I didn't want it to come off braggy and God, I heard God loud and clear, you need to share that story. And then when Jimmy said it and reiterated it before, I mean, God told me that before Jimmy even opened his mouth and I'm like, okay, I got it.

38:42 I got it. It's a beautiful story. Of course, I already know the story. Yes, it is. It's really good. So, but I came across this scripture that was perfect. And I think this was one of the U version, the daily one, and it was Acts 8, verse 35. Then Philip began the very passage of scripture and told him the good news about Jesus. And this is when Philip met the Ethiopian eunuch who was sitting in the chariot and he was reading the book of Isaiah. And the spirit told Philip to go near the chariot and he heard him reading. And then Philip asked the man if he understood what he was reading, and that's how it started.

39:24 And so then the scripture again, then Philip began the very passage of scripture and told him the good news about Jesus. And so that just reinforced that I need to tell the story. And I'm at a loss for words how to even describe what happened to me. So I was listening to... We're in Amsterdam. We're in Amsterdam. I'm in the bedroom, in the hotel room. You're in the living room getting ready for the show. And I'm listening to Sean Ryan interview Lee Strobel. Lee Strobel wrote the book, The Case for Christ and The Case for Heaven. And he was just talking to him about Jesus and Sean was asking, because Sean is fairly new to his faith, and he was just asking him pointed questions.

40:11 And it was interesting because as Lee was talking, I was like, I knew, I knew a lot of it. And that's because we're in the Word every single day. And we've also read both of his books. Yes. Yes. Yeah. And we watched both of the movies. The movies. Yeah. Which are really good. Yes. And so during the interview, I fell asleep. And when I fell asleep, Jesus came to me. And I didn't see his face, but I saw a bright white, but it wasn't even the vision. It was the feeling, the love. I can't even describe it into words, but the love that I felt, the purity of that love, it pulsated through my entire body.

40:59 And it was just the feeling that I had. And I so desperately just want to hold on to that feeling. And he took my head and he put my head on his chest. And I never felt that kind of love ever. And I was thinking about, and I told you about it. And I was so affected by it. And I never, this love that I felt was nothing. I mean, nothing compared to it. The love for my children, the love for you. It was such a pure, like, oh my gosh, it was, I might've lost for words. It was a divine. It was a divine.

41:39 Yeah. It's awesome. I love that. I mean, I remember you telling me, I'm like, wow. It has changed the way that I pray. It has changed the way that I visualize. It has changed so much. And when we told Pastor Jimmy about it, oh, I told him at dinner and he's like, he said in very simple term, it's your knower that knows, he said in really simple terms. And it is, it's my knower that knows. Like I, like Jesus came to me and just expressed such profound love. And I was listening to, what, where did I hear this interview? I can't remember where somebody had, it was a near death experience and gosh, I can't even remember where I heard it from, but it was somebody was telling the story about somebody who had a near death experience and the person felt this profound love as they, as they saw Jesus.

42:35 And then when they came back to life, they were very upset because of the love that they felt. They didn't want to leave. They didn't want to leave. I can't, I listened. I remember you saying it. They all meld, the shows all meld together. But I just want to share that because it was just, it was, I can't even express it in words. I'm at a loss for words about what it meant for me to have that. I'm so happy for you because we've discussed this, that I have conversation with God and words come and answers come and prayers have been answered and you've said, oh, I don't have that yet. I haven't, I haven't experienced that. And then you got this. That is just a blessing. Yes, it exactly.

43:15 It was just a huge, huge blessing. And then I was in my car and I'm always talking to God and I said to God, I said, thank you so much for that. I didn't need it though because I believe already and, and I really felt like I felt, I mean, I'm grateful. I'm just, because it's just changed my, it's changed everything. It's strength, it has strengthened my faith, my love for Jesus, for God, for the Holy Spirit, everything. But I wanted him to know, I wanted to express my gratitude, but I had already believed, but this was, I can't even explain to you how profound it was, how profound it was. It was, it, it's changed my life.

43:58 It's just changed. And I wanted people just to know that, you know, I want them to know that. And it's interesting because I, I didn't want to tell anybody. I didn't want to tell anybody. And Annette was like, why? And I said, well, I just don't want to be like braggy about it. And she's like, and I said, but I heard God say to me, you've got, you have to share that. You have to share it. And I wasn't, I wasn't asking for it. I was not asking for it. In fact, you were tired and a little bit ill. Yes, I was not feeling well, but I was listening to Lee Strobel talk and Sean Ryan, and I just, I was so proud of myself because I knew so much of what he said. And that's because we spend so much time in his word. It only takes 15 minutes a day and we probably spend 30 to 45 minimum.
